Academics

A Gwynedd Mercy University education will enable you to make a difference in both your own life and in the world around you. We offer programs for every interest, with small classes and faculty who are dedicated to your success. You’ll leave GMercyU with the tools needed to thrive no matter what challenges your future career may bring you.

A Few Things to Know About Us

100% of first-year, full-time students gain real-world experience. Whether through an internship, student teaching, clinical, or research, hands-on learning plays an integral role in your education.
We emphasize key skills that employers want. No matter your major, all students develop skills like critical thinking, problem solving, and communication — skills that have recently never proved more relevant.
You’ll have the support you need. In addition to faculty who will support you every step of the way, you can take advantage of advising, workshops, and even one-on-one tutoring, all at no additional cost.

Overall, undergrad research is something that Gwynedd really stands out for. You also get to present your research – I had the opportunity to present my research at SEPCHE, an undergraduate research conference for all the schools in this area. And Gwynedd also holds an undergraduate research conference, which is really exciting.

It’s how we make the most of your time here as an undergraduate and prepare you for your next journey. You’ll learn how to talk about your college experiences in meaningful ways, which can make all the difference in a job or graduate school interview.
For example, a typical student might say in an interview: "Service opportunities allowed me to help others and make a difference."
A GMercyU student might say: "Through my experiences in the Dominican Republic, I was able to make a real and lasting impact on a community in need. It also opened my eyes to the importance of having access to excellent healthcare."
Learn how we do this.
